Summer Shoe Trends 2014

Some say there's a rhyme for every reason, but I reckons there's a shoe for every occasion.
Which shoes should you buy this season? Here's some of the hottest new shoe trends for the spring and summer 2014 season

With so many exciting new shoe trends to choose from, there's a shoe style to suit everyone, no matter what your taste is.
From dainty pumps to chunky block heels, wedges to embellished sandals, the only limit is your imagination (and possibly your budget).

Fortunately, this little selection isn't going to break the bank.
On point pumps

Ballet flats never go out of style and there's a good reason for that. This pair updates the timeless style with a pop of colour. Wear them with a bright blouse for work. The ones in the picture is from poetry and is a bit expensive for my taste, but you get hundreds of designs from Mr Price, Ackermans, Legit ect.

Slider time
Love 'em or hate 'em, sliders are without a doubt the shoe of the summer. I have mixed feelings, I dont like the look of the slider but I use to own green cross, which I loved. Not something I would wear for a day out though.

Bedazzled is big news
Paul Simon once sang about a girl who had diamonds on the soles of her shoes. In this case diamante takes centre stage and perfectly complements the bright coral shade. This is a shoe to lounge in when you're poolside or on the beach.
Queenspark R100
A metallic moment
Metallic accessories are big news right now and this definitely extends to shoes. Wedges are also huge this summer so bang........two birds one stone and your on par..

Woolworths - R320

Join the tribe
Tribal prints are making a big comeback this year. This sneaker has a bold Aztec print that perfectly captures the trend. Wear it with shorts or linen pants, keeping the rest of the outfit plain
Ackermans R80

Getting to know Shoe-Aholic Enid

Hello everyone! I thought I'd do something different this Friday. Let’s face it my blog is not the most popular on the web. So most of you probably didn’t miss my absence but if you’re one of the three that did, let me make it up to you. The reason for my absence was first plain old laziness to think of ideas, secondly because of some major deadlines. I seem to have gained a few new readers of late, I thought I'd join everyone and their dog and a list of things about me. Not very original I know, but at least you will get to know me a little better. I hope you learn something new and exciting about me!

RAGE – Bringing the HEAT

The weather today much reflects my mood it’s quite a gloomy day in the mother city, its grey, wet and cold not the spring days I was having in mind.

So I thought I would turn up the heat with RAGE’s – The Heatwave collection. I perved shamelessly on their new shoes and everyone knows my immense love for RAGE (in fact I’m wearing a pair today). It was really difficult to choose my TOP 10 so here they are.
For more detail on the shoes and to view the rest of the collection you can visit the rage website on http://ragesa.co.za

Celebrity Shoe Closets

Sooo I have had a very very lazy weekend, to lazy to even post on my blog. I needed this.........I needed time to just relax

I figured since Monday is such a hated day, Let's join in and let our green eyed monsters out for these celebrities we love to hate because of the sheer size of their shoe closets.

Now don't get me wrong, I have a very impressive collection but no where near these and if I could choose who's one I really wanted, I would have to go with Tamara Mellon, I mean who wouldn't want an endless supply of Jimmy Choo's. I always said I will not get married unless I can afford a pair of Jimmy Choo's bridal shoes. This probably explains why I haven't been down the aisle yet.............

My Ultimate Girl Crush's Closet - Kimora Lee Simmins

The Woman who's shoe closet I would love to raid - Tamara Mellon

If I had a favourite K-Klan member it would be - Kloe Kardashian

The over the top Diva - Mariah Carey

The less famous big butt - Coco (Ice-Ts Wife)

The larger louder then life - Paula Abdul

And last but not least - Ms Christine Aguilera

Happy Monday
xoxo

My 5 Friday Favourites

Hi Everyone

Every Friday I am going to list 5 shoes that cought my eye during the week, so you can buy them even if I can't, having just bought my own place I have no choice but to be frugal and turn the breakes on my out of control shoe habbit but that doesn't mean you have to. I had an episode a while back where I went to the shops for chicken I came back with three pairs of shoes from Rage - out of control I tell you. This week I most of my time on Zando so 4 out of the 5 are from them

My focus with these posts will be to show you that you will not have to spend a fortune on great shoes and to bring local is lekker right to your inbox because most SA bloggers tend to focus on international brands that I cant afford unless I sell my kidney.

Here goes my top 5 for the week

Mr Price Mesh Inset Courth - a steal at only R159.99

Utopia T-Bar cut-out heel Blue - R329 available at Zando

Utopia Interlace ankle heels, Brown R267 - available at Zando

Linx Stappy Heel in Coral - R359 - From Zando

Zando Plum Daisy Heels in Blue - R499

Trend Spotting - Wedges for Summer

My favourite season is starting - spring leading into summer. I wear enough heels at work and since I'm about the height of a hobbit I was pleasantly surprised to see that wedge heels will be huge this summer, whether its casual or for work. The reason I love wedges so much is because it gives you a lift without the heels.

I took the liberty of looking for some cute outfits and shoes online.  If you see any of these in the shops please let me know so I can buy a few pairs I will be shop hopping this weekend for some and will post photos soon.

For the LOVE of Rage

Everyone who knows me knows I love Rage Shoes. They are my favourite brand.
In fact I have so many pairs I should be their brand ambassador.
I posted a pic on their Facebook page a while back in order to win a voucher to fuel my already out of control shoe addiction, but the gods decided I have enough shoes and don't need any more, for now!!! So I decided to post my favourite pairs I have and those I so desperately want.

Shoe-gasm, I don't think so!!!!

Since its Monday I figured it’s time to have a little fun and post something ridiculous!

Oh how I love new shoes! Everyone one who knows me knows a good shoe-gasm always gets me going, but I’m afraid these ones below, just dried up my shoe-gasm well. Just when I thought crocs, clogs and grasshoppers were the ugliest things you could find. I stumbled across these little mishaps.

Have a laugh with me and let me know if you would actually wear any of these.

What did the poor Armadillo do for this ugly accolade

Perfect for the Ghetto Hoodrat Stripper

Cousin IT, available in shoe!

Christian Louboutin has finally lost his mind

I have no words, and trust me it takes a lot to shut me up.

I love dogs, just not in such a creepy way

These are kinda OK, but I don't get the logic behind walking on your toes the whole night

For the animal in you or to go visit someone who's behind you would like to kick

These just makes my skin crawl. Aaarggghhh
